IDEA & TARGET

May 24. The second lesson with new cool tasks.

At the end of last week, our Korean students joined the second online workshop within the framework of cooperation and partnership relations of UNESCO associated schools between the Kyiv Gymnasium of Oriental Languages No. 1 and Shinjeong Girls’ Middle School (Seoul, Republic of Korea).

This time the class was no less intense than last time: Korean students introduced our high school students to the peculiarities of Teacher’s Day celebration in the Republic of Korea. And Korean friends learned about the celebration of Mother’s Day and Father’s Day in Ukraine. Then there was work in groups, where our students made traditional Korean fans with peonies as they were taught by the Korean girls on the other side of the screens. We also received a homework assignment – to make a keychain with a carnation, the symbol of Teacher’s Day in Korea.

In parallel with their colleagues from Korea, our Korean language teachers made plans for the 1st semester of the next academic year.

Gymnasium students got acquainted with a useful application – 서울 math meta-verse 서울 수학학습 메타버스. And finally, there was an exciting virtual tour of the sights of Seoul and solving mathematical problems.

Pupils of both schools – Ukrainian and Korean – had the opportunity to communicate, talk about the culture of their countries, learn Korean and Ukrainian.
